CeNS Colloquium: Dr. Martin Ledinsky visits LMU Munich
April 24, 2026
Ugur Research Lab was delighted to welcome Dr. Martin Ledinsky from the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences to LMU Munich for an invited seminar on halide perovskite thin films. The seminar was co-hosted by Dr. Esma Ugur and Dr. Erkan Aydın in collaboration with the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) Colloquium.
In his talk entitled “Universal Formation Mechanism of Halide Perovskite Thin Films”, Dr. Ledinsky presented recent insights into the fundamental growth mechanisms of metal halide perovskite films. Using advanced in-situ characterization approaches, including photoluminescence and GIWAXS measurements, he discussed how different deposition methods can exhibit common formation pathways governed by universal growth mechanisms.
The seminar highlighted the importance of understanding film formation, grain evolution, and defect formation processes to improve the optoelectronic quality and long-term performance of perovskite photovoltaic devices.
We thank Dr. Ledinsky for sharing his exciting research insights and for an inspiring scientific discussion with our research community.
